The meeting was attended by representatives of development and consultancy companies, architects and developers of energy-efficient technologies. The discussions covered work plan for 2012, market trends and environment-friendly construction in Russia.

  Participants agreed that internationally approved market mechanisms shall be applied for a more efficient introduction of eco-standards. Developers and consultants confirmed their intention to participate in the development of legal base for green construction. They took an initiative to conduct an expert analysis of all the national standards under development in Russia.

During the meeting, experts also discussed projects submitted for participation in Green Awards 2011, the All-Russian competition of sustainable development and green construction. Results of the competition will be announced on September 8 in St. Petersburg in the framework of the International Investment Forum PROEstate. In comparison to 2010 a larger number of participants has been registered, which means that more environment friendly projects are implemented.
